That's a regret I am grateful to have avoided.

I too FOMO'd in with all my savings around 60k, but after being convinced that we were on our way to 300k, I was thrilled to see the price fall into 2022.

I'm actually working on an article that breifly covers my experience during this period. Here's an excerpt:

"Perhaps I should have learned my lesson about what happens to the men who stare at charts by November 2022. But for better or worse, I couldn’t help but look at where we were in the cycle and think that we must be near the bottom of the bear market. While I couldn’t predict whether we might fall another 10-50%, I held an unwavering belief that we’d likely be higher within a year.

Part of this conviction came from the incredible amount of development I was witnessing in the Bitcoin ecosystem. Despite the bearish sentiment and the silence of once-vocal Bitcoin Twitter accounts, the progress being made was undeniable. Teams were tackling Bitcoin custody, building out Layer 2 solutions, and publishing research papers on mining innovations like methane mitigation and district heating. These advancements highlighted Bitcoin’s world-changing potential and only reinforced my confidence.

As my conviction grew, so did my frustration with the limitations of my current stacking rate. Despite stacking sats at the cheapest prices I'd seen since adopting Bitcoin, I felt a deepening sense of FOMO. No matter how much I reduced my expenses to redirect income to buying bitcoin, the pace of accumulation felt agonizingly slow in comparison to the opportunity I believed was slipping away. The belief that my dollars would soon buy fewer sats drove me to explore ways to accelerate my accumulation. It was a question of timing, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that I needed to act."

I'm thrilled that you took the time to dig into Bitcoin and build your conviction!
