Agreed. But what will we do when AI, along with robots, does almost all the "productive" work for us? I think it would not be right for a few guys to own these AIs etc. and thus force everyone else to work for something that can literally be produced for free. What do you think?

I agree with most of what you’re saying. Except for the part where you say it’s produced for free. For an AI to run, you need datacenters to run. For datacenters to run you need tech infrasctructure and energy to power it. Similar thing for robots. You need materials and semiconductors to build them and energy/fuel to power them. None of that is free
Totally agree, there will be costs in running the data centers etc, but the real value imo comes from the data, so I think the models themselves should be open and accessible to everyone and not just a privileged circle of people who have benefited from the fiat system / who are trying to get exclusive access by lobbying etc.
The data that is produced by the AI and/or the robots would have never existed without the data centers, semi conductors, materials and more importantly the energy it took to create it.
I agree with you that making the data accessible to everyone is more equitable/fair. All I’m saying is that there is a cost in producing this data. And that cost is non negligible.
Just like UBI doesn’t make much sense. We need to work in order to get money. Not advocating for a fiat system either. But under a sound money standard, we would still need to work.
