Badges are not NFTs. They are like badges you would get on forum sites. Think StackExchange or bitcointalk.

If someone tries to sell a badge for sats, then they should be ridiculed. But for now, badges are just for fun and recognition.

Badges should be a teaching moment of which things to pay attention to.

Nostr is exciting, you don’t need to be excited for everything.

I agree. I think it’s hyped up because it’s new and fun, but essentially harmless.

Even if they start trading like NFTs, hopefully that keeps monkees off of Bitcoin. That, and ugly profiles from a millions badges, is the worst case scenario I can think of.

Badges are a nonsense. Not harmful just a distraction to real building.
