Had message from friend in England today, after asking how was re the farce I posted yesterday or whenever it was. Says she is a bit better, but she is like me in that painkillers don’t work, and in her case also make her sick, her husband was rubbing Deep Heat into the sore part to see if might help, she could not even lift her bum off the bed to get at her hip at all. She said she felt like hell, the pain was horrendous, but feels improvement today. But all she got was go to A&E if gets worse and no offer of any follow up appointment or anything, and just a nurse on end of a phone, reading out do you feel this or that from a sheet. She had had 4 days of this too and has been abandoned, sounds like the GP there is on point of complete collapse, never mind the rest of it.
