I spent two weeks beginning of this year to setup a public facing, Tor routed, duckdns resolved BTCpay Server on my LN node, started everything from scratch, got new Raspi and all the other hardware, hustled through the setup process, got it done. Was working three months, then a non backwards compatible BTCpay server update couldn't resolve the database anymore or what have you, was offline, I rebuilt it, worked another week. Now the two ip2tor bridge services are closed so the server is no longer reachable and the possible alternatives are unable to get their documentation in order. They assume knowledge that can't be there, where would I've learnt any of this? It's all beta and rc and has never been done before, rarely a tutorial to be found. I'm trying to implement all of this in a working environment but I'm about to just say fuck it, here is a Wallet of Satoshi QR, scan it, send sats, write me an email corresponding to your payment and I take care.
We have a long way to go to make this a smooth experience. That was my Raspiblitz experience so far in a nutshell. I think I give Umbrel another try since I upgraded to 8GB RAM Pi4 but man...
Trying to make this all look cool and simple is very difficult.
