I just installed Zen browser..! OMG I think I found my new favourite browser!!! It is a firefox fork but has vertical tabs by default and looks amazing 😍

Zen Browser is everything Firefox should be. It is also beautiful and very functional. Something very good has to have when it is sponsored by Tuta 😁
I think so too now! I am very glad Zan exists, it checks all the boxes for me now and with a much better design than I imagined!
I am also taking the OS task bar on the side so now I have 100% vertical height space for website content, it's perfect 😍
To be fair, #Firefox has vertical tabs now and already had it in nightly when #ZenBrowser introduced it.
I do appreciate the fact that they give users a choice of search engines on first run.
Should default to a more private option than Google though.
It has a built-in function for vertical tabs? I tried to enable them with extensions but they are not great and the horizontal tabs remained which needed css code to take them out.
Also I really like the implementation of profiles in Zen. Firefox has decent groups but I still prefer the Zen implementation and design now.
By profiles in Zen, you mean the workspaces?
Yes correct, I like how you easily see visually in which workspace you are and how you move from one to the other by pressing forward and back mouse buttons.
Oh OK but that's not profiles. Profile switcher would let you have completely different browser settings, extensions and fingerprint. Firefox and forks still have no easy way to switch profiles yet : (
Actually after testing a new clean installation of #zenbrowser, it looks like they've taken a step backwards. The choice of search engines on first run is not offered any more even though less important things like colour is.
Of course Google Search is imposed as the default.
Oh interesting... It don't matter to me because no matter the browser I always need to go in the settings and add my custom searxng search page 😉
