Questioning whether #nostr or the world needs #bitcoin is like discovering a source of fresh water in a desert and questioning whether the local people might need it or want to know about it.

Interesting analogy.

In that one, I’d want to keep the water for my own survival and that of my family before screaming for others to join. Unless the water supply is unlimited.

I completely disagree that water and bitcoin would be similarly important to a group of people, if that’s what you’re trying to convey.

This type of talk is what turns people away from bitcoin.
