Ethiopia’s biggest state owned bank shut down withdrawals and payments after their tech let a group students bank run their service. Students found out they were able to withdraw funds from the ATM well over their balance and happily took advantage of the airdrop.
News quickly spread of the free money back and by the time it was caught by the bank more than $40 million had been siphoned off.
Don't worry funds are SAFU, lol says the bank!
