Do you need to install `build-essentials`? Without seeing the actual error that would be my best guess

Eeeeeeverything. This env is a total virgin so I had to add a couple of things to it first. But for some reason, CLN's default make target doesn't actually... make everything o.o

I had a hell of a time with CLN. LND was easier for me to get going.

I'm using docker for my node though so didn't need to build.
