Exactly. Ever lived in the Yukon or rural far north? I spent a year up there. Living remotely is hard, dangerous, & often requires MORE FOSSIL FUELS if living off the grid. It’s not a solution.

Urban land use can be smarter. Yeah. I’m a big fan of the “missing middle” plan HERE to allow single-lot zoning to be turned into small apartment buildings of up to 12 suites. That’s good.

But expanding population to new regions isn’t an answer.
