This little spider is my 4th generation that lives in my garage on my small educational aquaponics system. I assume every year one of the children remains and sets up camp with the others seek new places.

She looks a little blurry because I had to blow her up cause she is so tiny.

She is a "garden orb weaver" they make new webs every night. About 7ish she will make her new web, in the morning it is gone, they eat it to conserve the energy. She then hides in the grow light all day and does it again.

I was blown away the first time I went to Texas and saw a Banana Spider for the first time. Its leg span was nearly the size of my palm. We were down working with TXDOT and watching a new excavator attachment operate and I saw it in the centre of a huge web at the fenceline. Alas, my attention quickly turned to the blinding zaps of pain on my lower legs as I realized I was also having my first encounter with another of the local fauna: fire ants.
