I reaffirm that desolation point sucks as a start location. It has a forge but no hammer. It has very little in the way of food anywhere. No cattails which exacerbates the previous point. Hybernia processing isn't a good base because it's cold. Wolf density rivaling broken railroad.
I just got insane RNG finding 4 boxes of matches. That wasn't the case any other time I spawned there.
