Friends, I’ve got a dilemma. I’ve got a couple months leeway here (but being a millennial with student loan date etc, tough to go past that), but being unemployed after being laid off means I need to look for work. There’s a big unknown what lies ahead in terms of finding that full time role in a bitcoin company, so far hasn’t been too promising for real full-time opportunities.

What I WANT to do is focus solely on The Progressive Bitcoiner podcast and building out a media company with it (podcast, news/journalism, events, etc.). I’m firing on all cylinders with that and really pleased with what’s being done at this point, with great feedback, upcoming guests, etc! But funding is challenging for a small podcast that has huge potential. And I’m balancing those 10hr days with job searching. It’s a weird mix of excited about that, but deflated for being unemployed after being in senior leadership and building a career in one field for 8+ years.

Got any inspiration? What do you do to keep going and stay positive?

The only way out is through.

Connect with friends, keep hobbies, take jobs if you need to to stay afloat. Don’t give up. So many people give up when they should push on. Conversely, if you decide this isn’t your route, no shame in pursuing something else.

Just keep swimming…

Just keep swimming indeed, don't give up on your passion. Opportunities will come with patience.

Sometimes I dance. I’ll see morning sun coming through the window, turn on Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles, and let some full-body motion happen as inspired by the music.
