The vast majority of decaf coffee is decaffeinated using dangerous solvents (most commonly methylene chloride and ethyl acetate).
If you want to drink decaf, make sure to get coffee that is decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Method. If the bag doesn't say, assume the worst.
Even in the coffee snob capital of the world, New Zealand, it took me a while to find a cafe that had non-toxic decaf. But it's so very worth it.
