My two cents:
It looks like a hostile takeover to me.
1. BR will invest heavily.
2. BR will work in parallel on a PoS fork that can serve as a world CBDC.
3. They try to fork and choose the PoS side, which the bylaws allow them to do.
4. They dump all "legacy bitcoins" on the market
5. Price collapses.
Goals:
- worldwide CBDC
- Sensitive weakening or erasure of bitcoin and the idea of freedom
