These parasites are way out over their skis here, but your point identifies why they feel emboldened to do so.

#AUStriches who understand our economy have long said it’s based on “houses and holes” - mining and real estate.

I added handicapped recently because our National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is now a proper chunk of the economy here, reaching 3% soon with 1/3 of new jobs coming from related industries in the last year.

It’s not intuitive when you live here, you have to pay attention. But if you do pay attention, it’s obvious.
