There’s no such thing as spam on bitcoin, if it’s a valid transaction and pays a market-clearing rate for inclusion into a block.

So is there any such thing as spam anywhere?

Yes. Email and texts. Why? Because there’s no cost. The spammers don’t face a financial disincentive.

Bitcoin doesn’t work like that because block space is scarce.

I'm sure it will work itself out then.
