Trying to figure this app out - what is a “zap”? Is this the equivalent of a tweet?

What is the lighting icon for? Is this to make a crypto donation to users?

A zap is more like a gift of appreciation ( a stronger form of Like) for a post, in the form of a small sats transfer.

Sats are a small unit of Bitcoin.

1 bitcoin = 100million sats. So 100 sats is like 2.5 cents in USD.

To receive zaps, you need to enter a Lightning wallet (like Alby or wallet of Satoshi or ln.tips) & enter that Lightning Addres on your profile.

People use the ⚡ button to zap a post from their lightning wallet.

I think that’s a really neat feature and great way to incentivize this app.
