Poor LightningTipBot - was made for Telegram and now basically all it does is crunch requests from nostr clients on its NIP-57 LNURL endpoint and publish events to relays via websockets.

Am I right in saying I can receive with LNtip bot but not send? Tried yesterday and received but couldn't send.

Of course you can send! It's a full-fledged wallet! Just enter an invoice to the bot and that's it. Or a Lightning address, or LNURL. There are many ways to send.

Or wait, do you mean as zaps in nostr? Then you need to connect it to Alby (Desktop) or BlueWallet (mobile) . Check out this guide:
