Life is full of complex issues without a right or wrong answer. It is hard to picture the rise and fall of empires across the generations.
You’re looking at the intersection of politics and technology: As ledgers got more efficient due to technological improvements, it became easier for those in power to debase currencies (unfortunately).
I hope that just as technology has been used to shape a negative ecosystem benefitting the few, that it can always become part of the solution.
