Hans Hermann Hoppe made me understand for the first time the meaning of the metapher of a "sharp" thinker. I have always taken the comparison for granted, but Hoppe cuts out his thoughts just like a butcher a filet from a raw piece of meat. He really uncovers the structure of reality more than he argues to make a particular point. I often times prefer to listen to people than to read them, except for Hans Hermann Hope. Listening to Hope is fascinating, but the raw truth laid out in his writings is life-changing.
