I've realized I don't leave the farm enough to have exposure to the bugs out there so my immune system isn't able to fight off illness very well. I got sick after spending most of the weekend out and about and at the same time, the temperatures went from -12 to 60. Any advice on how I can boost my immune system besides the typical (Vitamin D, eat xyz, etc)

Astragalus root tincture.

Tell me more, what is this

Colloidal silver?

Is that a real thing that helps people or just something podcasters sell

lol, both? I’ve had family members who say it helps. I just started making it, so I guess I’ll find out.

It's a real thing and it's literally a poison.

Tell me more. Seems people fall into two camps.

It kills everything. Fine for topical use on cuts but any ingestion will kill off bugs that live in your guts that you need. Think Antibiotic gut + heavy metal poisoning.

People who have basic critical thinking & googling skills, and people who will buy the latest "alternative remedy" scam sold by literally anybody

lol, sounds like you have your mind made up. Be well, friend.

This is the most douchey response I've seen to a genuine question on Nostr yet. Thanks!

Colostrum could help, I never tried it but heard it is good for a immune boost.

Go regularly to sauna.

Get exposure to others.

curcuma

A boosted immune system is not exactly a thing you want. That is how autoimmune diseases and allergies work. Almost every symptom of cold, flu, and other common communicable disease is caused by your immune system, not the illness.

Your immune system codes for and remembers illnesses it has seen. Exposure to low doses of viruses while healthy is the only way to improve its function in the way you want.

Avoid chronic stress and eat good to keep your immune system from under functioning. Regular hand washing, especially before meals to reduce any exposure to manageable levels.
