gigabit speeds work well enough in my house with cat-5-only cabling

Really?

That's interesting 🤔

Thanks

yup, that's all I ever use, got a CAT6 305m package once for a steal, then noticed I couldn't crimp it to my existing plugs because leads were too big. I returned it and got outdoors-rated CAT5 instead.

I do get sub-gigabit speeds, but 60Mb/s during real transfers is good enough for me :)

Do you mean 600Mb/s ?

That would be better than 100Mb/s

I would be happy with that.
