It's really sad. I miss that
Apple Newton Messagepad 2100 it was discontinued in the 90s if I remember correctly 3 months after it's release. They say it was not popular & a bad design yadayada it's a lie. Truth is compared to other PDA's back in the day it was superior but the real reason they don't want you to know why it was discontinued is. There was a movie with Steven Segal called Dark Territory & in the movie you see him use the Newton Messagepad 2100 to send a SOS message to his bakery caterer to call the FBI for help by fax. After the movie people immediately realized you can do free faxing to any fax number by plugging your newton messagepad into any phone line since it had the phone jack built in & just type your fax message on the keyboard.
That is the real reason why it was discontinued.
