I agree to dismantle the "dream" shitshow. I already lived that nightmare and, now in retrospect, could have found some books on electronics and learned the theory myself while getting some on-the-job training somewhere. However, in college, I apparently liked writing software more, which is what I'm still doing today. The industry I ended up in during my entire career, web development, the hiring companies cared nothing for a college degree; they only wanted a person to be able to write code.
