One bitcoin is now the equivalent to one YEAR’s salary in Canada.

1 year average salary - $59,000 CAD before taxes

1 bitcoin - $63,000 CAD

That’s what the market has decided.

That the average person in Canada should work 365 days for a whole coin.

WILD. And only getting wilder.

RIP 17:00 Moosejaw time

Not considering that to save 63k CAD is a decades long endeavor for most wagies….

Very true.

That's 45k CAD after tax income

So btc can only cover the yearly salary of 21million Canadians?

At current prices... if it 100 x can it serve 2.1 billion people their yearly salary?

So the average salary is 100 000 000 sats.

Is the average salary really $59,000 here? I know people are struggling but I had no idea it was that low, or how they do it? Server wage plus undeclared gratuities certainly skew this lower but it’s still pretty messed up.

That’s what it was in 2022 according to the censorship regime.

I’m guessing it’s probably at least $59,500 by now.

🤡

Consider income tax, sales tax, captial gains tax, living expenses (gas, groceries, cell bill, electric bill... etc). Whats left to save? Barely nothing. I Wager for the average normie it'd take over a decade to save 1 Bitcoin. Add in inflation and number go up - barely anyone will be able to save 0.05 Bitcoin.

I dont condone borrowing to speculate, but... may not be a bad idea to borrow to buy Bitcoin if you're a no coiner.

Couldn’t agree more.

I just wouldn’t say that on air haha.

But I think it’ll turn out to be great advice ten years from now.
