Question for ya. I’ve always heard FUD around Rega Plannars running slightly fast. How do you like the RP3?

I had a dual 1214, I believe, then a dj kind like the famous technnis (audio-technica?). The RP3 was an advice from the sales guy. I was looking for something reliable, minimalist and upgradable (cartridge). I love it!

I didn’t noticed anything with the speed, but now you said that I’ll spend some time checking.

I love the look and was thinking about it in the future. I love my rig, but do love that speak minimalist look and glass platter.

I liked also to have the less possible, and I heard about the klipsch, no tone or equalizer, in order to simplify, got the three and I love the sound. The next upgrade will be the blue ortofon capsule (I read wonders about upgrading from the red).

And maybe then, Klipsch the fives or the sevens.

I have a Orto Red and Blue. The Red is fantastic for hard rock, metal, big symphonic, big EQ. The Blue is amazing for acoustic and jazz. It’s 3D in that respect. Ortos in general are colorful in a really good way. They are not neutral EQs, they aren’t flat, but my god I’m into what they’re doing.

I just realized today. Funny thing is that till now I was over the moon and now it’s torturing me. It’s not much faster but I wanna fix it.

Read that putting tape on the subplatter helps

So it is a thing! I’ve heard them term it as “lively” sounding

I’m just a bit faster, but constant speed. 33.68. I will order a new belt and see what happens

I wonder why that is… 🤔

Well I haven’t changed the belt since I got it, apparently they say that a new belt fix this kind of issue
