Ahh I was thinking about a quoted event I didn’t have as opposed to an entire event. I see what you’re saying.
I guess I’m just not a fan of auto gossip model without some form of user approval but I’m sure it makes for a messy UI/UX.
Exacerbates the REQ surveillance problem if users are unknowingly connecting to dozens of relays.
On AUTH surveillance I will only respond in future if we're expecting challenge. Relays are a surveillance nightmare when using gossip

Yes, that is expected behavior as filter.nostr.wine requires a paid subscription to use and rejects AUTH responses otherwise. Good to ignore these if the user doesnt explicitly choose to connect to the relay.
