After moving back to Germany I wondered why there is jobs literally everywhere and today I finally understand. It's Germany's universal income called #Bürgergeld.

Breakdown:

A professional painter earns approx. €2,100 after tax. If they get child support that's about €2,500.

A family with two children claiming Bürgergeld plus child support plus rent support receives €2,700. Why would anyone go and work for +160 hours/month to receive over €200 less? This system is as broken as it gets!

They are building a generation of people who are entirely dependent on the government for support. Those people will fight FOR the government when the time comes.
