Recently, I was concerned to learn that big banks are now approaching major Bitcoin miners to purchase directly from them instead of the market.
It seems likely that their next steps could involve acquiring mining operations themselves, which is worrying.

Exactly! And plebs\nodes need to understand their responsibility to enforce the #Bitcoin protocol, by making sure that everyone tows the line. Miners, developers and fellow nodes.
Spamming and abusing the Bitcoin network has to end. Or be severely curtail. If #ocean and #Knots can filter out spam and monkey shines. So can everyone else.
