0xchat. it has red pocket function with ecash if you have heard of it 🫣. Like if you send a red pocket to a group everyone who claims it get a random portion. that’s basically the function that help WeChat growing to an app that everyone using.

It is still slow though but I think it will get better.

the feed only including your contact is exactly a copy of WeChat.

But also WeChat has a killer function called mini app. Basically you can book taxi, airplane, play games, do anything you want as long as some one build it without leaving WeChat. I’m looking forward someday one client will copy. Not what a minimalist style messager app should be but cool.
