I don't think that's the best analogy, I think there are a lot of newer bitcoiners that started with shit coins and they needed that as part of their journey. Not to mention in this analogy you're comparing apples to oranges a bit.
I think it's much more like buying Bitcoin and keeping it on FTX because they were too afraid to lose it.
It's the first analogy that came to mind, but you're right, yours is better.
