The funny thing about becoming a mom at a young age, is that you spend your best-looking years sleep-deprived and trapped in the house, often completely alone with little kids, while everyone else is milking their looks and dating and partying and traveling.

And then, when you're middle-aged and run-down, and you reach the stage when you were planning on slowing down and relaxing, you found out that adult children cost much more than minor children, and grandchildren are also expensive, and now you have a whole herd of retirees in your family, and your home needs to be renovated, so you start working your ass off, again.

Are we all gonna drop-dead from exhaustion at 65? Cuz, that's what it basically feels like.

My wife and I had kids early and never regretted it. Looking at 40 somethings taking kids to kindergarten is grim.

As for paying for my kids after they finish college, fuck that. I love them but if they can't stand on their own feet by then, then I've failed them as a parent.

A useful way to avoid having to support grown up children, is to have enough kids that it isn't even possible to support them as grownups. If you can't support them all, then in the interest of fairness you aren't obliged to support any of them. 👍

I honestly disagree, I think Asians, and Hispanic have a very family/community oriented mindset, and they raise successful children.

I don't understand why European people are so persistent on rampant individualism to the degree that they push out their 18 year old children out of the house?

American Europeans phenomenon maybe but still.

I'll be there for them but I'm not going to make myself a slave for them. I also want to see that they are useful. There are many useless people in the world, I hope because they are my children they would be less likely to be useless but that is no guarantee.

Do you expect an 18 year old to buy a $400,000 house on a $18/hour job that only gives 20 hours a week?

I mean realistically 25 is the new 18.

18 + 4 years of college = 22

22 + 3 years of career development, saving, and investing = 25

They won't buy a house. This has already been decided by the powers that be. Money printer inflation has already been pumping for far too long.

If they save in Bitcoin they might have some chance of having something good. I'm at least going to start them off well in that regard.
