A local pilot aborted a landing to avoid a dog on the airstrip. He stalled, crashed and died along with one passenger. What a shitty way to go. Be thankful for each day folks.

Especially there, it's a 850' long, narrow, gravel strip surrounded by water on three sides. If he had lost a wheel strut he wouldn't be able to steer. There's a good chance of going in the water again.
That airline put that same plane in the drink while landing at that strip in 2016.
