Attention rust devs: Damus is a great client and needs more talent to build their upcoming Notedeck client.

people will learn the hardway that social tech like this only works best from web browsers

I dunno man. The pre-alpha seems to work well this far. I am hopeful that the performance can be maintained. Will is very anal about that and I trust him to deliver.

it doesn't suffer from out-of-memory issues which is nice. virtual memory-backed db (which is not available on the web) enables lots of crazy use cases. Can store and read terabytes of notes in realtime without breaking a sweat. solid foundation for building next-gen nostr experiments.

so often I open a new nostr client on the web and there is nothing cached, so I see a bunch of missing profiles and notes. With notedeck you can spin up new micro-apps with an existing profile and note DB.
