How on earth does that stop someone working on the black market? If people are being paid cash in hand already, then a Digital ID doesn’t make slightest bit of difference. And whilst it may be “mandatory” for work, how long before it is extended to other activities like buying food, or travelling. How about enforcing the existing laws and nabbing the unscrupulous employers who are gaming the system rather than waste millions of pounds implementing a new system?
