I drank too much water today. But the thirst is strong. How much is the maximum amount of water that humans should drink per day? 💧💦

Feel you, it’s based on your body weight

Thank, I usually drink about 5 to 6 liters a day and I am comfortable. Today I drank more than that, I don’t know why.

No hard maximum on daily amount, but your kidneys can only process around 1.5 liters an hour and anything more can start to cause some issues. 1 ounce of water per 2 pounds of body weight daily usually does the trick. Listen to your own body though, everyone is different!

I regularly drink between 5 and 6 liters of water every day, today I drank more of that but I’m not sure why. And my routine has been the same without any significant changes.

Heat can play a factor - we lose a lot more water on hot days then we realize. In general I wouldn’t be concerned about some daily variations in your habits.

If thirsts persists long term, one thing to note is that can sometimes be a sign of high blood sugar or insulin resistance. I’m no doctor though so I’d definitely get more professional advice if this is something which concerns you!

If it can be the heat 🔥 today especially. Thank you for the Advice 🟣🤙🏻

No problem! It was 92 degrees here today, so I was drinking more than usual as well lol

I’m dying of heat with 30º C.But the real problem is the humidity.

I wouldn’t be pushing past 4 litres unless your living somewhere hot or exercise a lot. Excess water can be bad I’m pretty sure 💕

Thank you for the advice, if I live in a tropical area near the sea and I exercise. I usually drink between 5 and 6 liters of water a day. Today I was more thirsty 💦

Too much ‘regular’ water can drain your minerals, mineral water or mineralise your water and find you won’t need nearly as much.

I like mineral water, I drink it regularly 1/2 liter a month probably, I had not considered it to drink daily replacing the “regular” water.
