I’m older now. In my 20s I was able to run a marathon with 2 months training. This time around, even with a 4 month plan, I wasn’t making progress as quickly and my recovery was much slower. The second reason is that I got a new job at a startup. Ive never worked harder and am absolutely beat after grinding all day; a 1.5 hour run just seemed like the last the I wanted to do. Overall it humbled me. There’s no cheating what it takes to run 26.2 and if I try again, my focus and dedication to the goal needs to be at another level. All in all, I was still able to do the half marathon and spend time with a buddy who came down to do a full. For 2025- my running goals are just consistency. I want to be running 4-5 times a week, not really caring about distance or speed. #running
