I was thinking about developing a Ultima Online private server. It's lightweight the tools are there & with a little help it shouldn't be to tough to add some new functionality. It's a classic & with it's sandbox capabilities you can truly make something diverse.

I have a friend who's willing to host it for me he has a domain & his own server rig. He just wants me to show him some initative that I can get some people willing to work together with the development & not go on a random hiatus. He wants to know that it will be continued to be worked on & not just a hobby whenever.

I would add many different maps of towns, fighting areas, boss battles, events, luxurious exploring, sandbox buildable areas for clans & more. I would love to incorperate different cultures around the world to add more surealism into the game's narrative along with the creation of new assets.

I have my own plans for creating a bigger economy then the game already has for those of you familiar with the UO world. I would also easter egg in some references from idk 70s 80s 90s perhaps even hide the linux bible inside. :)

Would anyone maybe who has experience in developing a UO server with the tools & the architect want to help out? Even if you don't know if you like the game here's the chance to learn coder. If you do please use the Matrix to communicate it's where we all are at.
