He's not actually going to compete/win, he just wants airtime (which he wouldn't get in any other primary). If anything, he gives the handful of boomers who care more about not being called racist than anything else (about 5% of the vote) someone to support who isn't Tim Scott, and he can give them a 'pass' to support an immigration moratorium.
Like, sure, I'd like a primary of Pat Buchanans, but have to pick our battles.
