That's a hard question. When you got into a nasty dispute in the kernel, it was usually with a peer who was at least credible in their field.
This stuff is easier to ignore, but there's more of it.
definitely easy to ignore. Feels like it’s mostly just wasting lots of time in a space that already moves pretty slow. I wonder how many years of progress this has set us back.
Also i can’t imagine this getting any better with more users
Create repo for the formal argument for/against. Barrier to entry filter and deduplication. Repeat contributor patterning as prima facie wall of shame.
Wait a year. This will be gone. Some will have learned something, most will have forgotten.
Meanwhile, there is real work to be done.
