I live in a major metropolitan area with three large airports. There’s noise all the time. You just get used to it. I only noticed it when the planes stopped flying for a couple of weeks. Also, there were airline parts recovered at the site, and a plane on the way to DC crashed in Pennsylvania. The story is not that the attack didn’t happen, it’s that months of warnings were ignored and advanced knowledge of it was kept from the public.
