I did go through the process on behalf of my cousin from an Eastern European country to north america back in the early 90s, it was a disaster, rejected the first 2 times, and third time family member sabotage. Tried a 4th time with his younger brother and worked on the first attempt.

The purpose of the application and interview is to determine if they can see any reason that you would not return to your country of origin when the visa expires.

So its a good idea that if you are making up an imaginary storey that you have all the made up documents to support the story as fact.

Its best if you are honest and want to attend some program, but you can prove that you can cover all of your own expenses, you might have to show bank account balances, any supporting friends or family that already live in that country, maybe you can zap a nostr pleb! (just kidding, i dont want anyone to get in trouble with the law).

But my point is this a project you have to launch seriously and work hard on to make sure it will be success. Otherwise you are wasting your time and money and happiness.
