There are two things ONLY that I feel a real need to be able to do using Nostr & #Bitcoin:
1. A realistic alternative to Amazon self publishing
2. An alternative to YouTube
For both I have content & plans that are constantly put on the back burner simply since working to build accounts is NOT viable if self censorship and cancellation is on the horizon…
Double or more effort & less earnings is totally OK, especially if getting in early!

The technology is there for sure, it is adoption and regulation that is the problem…
As an example a LOT of devs set up classified or jobs board sites, which then tanks when close to no one uses them. If anything gets past a certain size the also they’ll be attacked by both big tech & government.
Can it all be done 100% as a protocol extension of Nostr? Perhaps, and if so maybe a mechanism of splitting earnings between the relay and content creator would be key?
If that is built into the protocol itself there would be far less attack vectors left :-)

There is the permaweb that runs on Arweave…
A bridge charging sats per megabyte upload that is then used to pay for imprinting it should be easy to set up!
Maybe there could even be an automated solution where that site gets access to then publish a note directly with the link included…
Guess that the conversation will be an event that leads to direct liability though, so until someone sets up atomic swaps it would have to be small scale & curated
