I've met quite a few Malagasy people here. Some of the stories from that island are beyond Mad Max style chaos and corruption. I agree that BTC might be a sound option for them but given the state of things involving ccp, wagner and bizarre French shenanigans on the island I can only hope btc mining might get established for the people rather than others.

100%, I had a friend whose dad had a business there and he spent 1 month a year there, and he told me plenty of stories, its a beautiful country plenty of natural wonders but it is a shitshow, lol like every African country

The droughts have also been awful for them and yes in terms of governance its a crisis, but like Jeff Booth says all that comes downstream of the money.

But just think if a mining op brings in 1 BTC a month, how far that capital can go to develop markets there, vanilla and clove exports can only take them so far, they need capital to diversify

I'm considering going there for a trip as it's only a couple of hour flight. Some Indian friends of mine told me there's a lot of land buying going on around Manga Bay. I don't like flying so that might be delayed......
