From what I can tell you are using Damus app, so on a high level you’ll have pretty much a Twitter-like experience. Most of the same things will apply, like #hashtags. #Nostr is very young, so predominant topics are still tech related, but we’ve got a bunch of #meme notes and some communities growing around respective regions. You can try clicking a hashtag and engaging with the authors of the notes you like.

A good general hashtag to tap in to is #grownostr. It is used to highlight that the note is not related to tech or #bitcoin. You can find a variety of topics there.
