Is anyone still using FOLD ?
Discussion
Got it a while ago but didn’t really use it. For the last 2 weeks or so I’ve been using it (and cash) as my primary fiat rail. Liking the sats back. Even better with the spin+ (which I just activated for the weekend as we were going school shopping for the kids and I knew I was going to get 1% ) Not sure I’ll keep the spin +. My biggest bitch is with the instant transfers as they charge 1.5%. Can link with your bank account and transfer money at no charge but takes waaaaayyy to fucking long to settle a transaction. Way longer than needs to be. And why do they charge 1.5% for instant transfers. Cash app doesn’t. But again I have been impressed with the amount of sats back I have gotten in just a few weeks from purchases and gift cards ( I use Amazon a lot, so purchase gift cards and get like 3% sats back on that). I’ve made around 25k sats.
Wouldn’t use to buy bitcoin. Takes way to long to be able to move your bitcoin. I like to buy and move instantly, which cash app allows.
Big time. Pay all my bills with it for a free 1% on everything
Yes, especially since I can't direct deposit to Strike anymore. I used to split my direct deposit between Strike and Fold. 70% of my Strike deposit would instantly get converted to BTC. 30% would be manually converted when I saw a dip. The rest of my paycheck went to Fold. Since Strike stopped direct deposits, all of my paycheck now goes to Fold, but I may put part into savings since I have been unable to buy BTC on Fold. I like earning sats on purchases and it is convenient to have part (or all) of my paycheck deposited into Fold. I doubt I'd use it if I had to manually fund it every time I wanted to spend. Also direct deposit costs nothing (time or money).
