Can any Devs please explain what happens to Nostr etal if and or when the grid goes down? Or am I missing something? #asknostr #askdevs #curious

the internet was built to be resilient to attack, it was originally created/funded by darpa for the exact use case.
So much of the internet has forgot about this and most platforms rely on a select few providers to host content (aws, etc).
A sufficiently decentralized nostr would be less susceptible to large centralized data-center outages.
Twitter has been down a few times while nostr has stayed up.
When hosting relays for a smaller geographical area, you can avoid things like grid outages in certain parts of the world.
In summary, yes nostr is well equipped to handle these scenarios, but nostr is already a disconnected network of subnetworks, so it really depends on which relays are affected and which relays your client connects to.
Wow… So good to know! Thank you 🙏
Nostr also works OFFLINE
You can swap notes with a USB stick if needed
We will feature this in the nostr:nprofile1qqsxhugzf33nvzfmvvkm9k3pkedyf37c9qcy2na56atrfw3grctpeyqppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qgswaehxw309ahx7um5wghx6mmd9ujp7g6q launch
Thank you! Very appreciated
