Just got back from a mid-day run. It was a scorcher.

During my run I noticed a two man team of bricklayers hastily building the facade of a community sign for a new development in town.

Both men were dripping sweat. One handed off bricks while the other lathered a layer of mortar and carefully placed the them. They were the only men on the construction site laboring away while the sun beat down.

Cheers to all the construction workers! They toil away under the beating sun building the structures we take for granted. Seldom are they celebrated.

laborers and service workers are both downtrodden and critical elements of our societies

mainly because pompous asshats with connections make the rules and fan all the admiration towards them using manipulation

I agree! --and thanks for the zap!
