what would you like to see in nostr ?
Discussion
1) Wikifreedia + nostr git seems like a good opportunity. Build your own client. Have an article that details its functionality, like a guide for both users and developers to navigate your clinet/code.
2) Modular articles - basically, take any article and fragment it into sections however you like. The idea is that each note is supposed to be an enclosure of a concept. But being nostr, and pure data, we aren't limited by just text. It takes the idea of lists on nostr, and re-purposes it to be something you can put in a feed as a post.
Now with wikifreedia + nostr git + modular articles, we have a lot of ground to cover in terms of possibilities. Not only can articles now be composed of existing notes, but they can also be mixed media. You can have an article that teaches about music, but inside the article is a section with some interactive activity.
3) Last, I think we need better tools for feed curation and relay moderation. Right now, nostr is a giant soup. There are a few major relays that everyone pools around with some others. This is okay, but I think to foster better community development we need tools that help communities build walls and not be invaded by content they don't want on their community.
Organizers of a community can set up their own relay and only allow content they want. Nothing stops anyone from broadcasting to the rest of nostr. If we only connect to communities we care about, a lot of the spam and toxicity can be fixed because everyone can live in the bubbles of their choosing. Adding a community responsibility to keep the relay free of their defined spam and toxicity by sending reports to the community owner just makes it better for everyone.
The second half of this moderation is tools for general users more fine grained than muting aka Web of Trust. The main purpose is to help filter out your feed on these big relays, but its very expensive when you have to calculate on all follows and followers each time without saving. WOT can only be benefited from the coarser levers that relay mods have.
Probably longer than what you wanted but I decided that if I'm going to do it, to go all in 😅
